Defense Counsel Before Charges Are Filed in Saratoga County
Scott Iseman represents clients before and after charges are filed. His practice includes approximately 300 criminal matters and approximately 35 jury trials to verdict.

Scott served on the defense trial team in the Southern District of New York and delivered the opening statement. Separate appellate counsel argued the case before the U.S. Supreme Court, which overturned the convictions. The final resolution imposed no additional prison time.
Fraud Charges Dismissed After Defense Investigation
A public official faced fraud charges based on allegations by a former spouse. The defense conducted an independent investigation, compared its findings with the prosecution’s records, and presented the information to the District Attorney’s Office. The charges were dismissed.
Not Guilty Verdicts in a Federal Sting Case
Federal agents created a sting operation that resulted in firearm charges. The defense argued entrapment and presented evidence that the government, rather than the client, originated the alleged criminal plan. The jury returned not-guilty verdicts on both firearm counts.
